For this project, the homeowner came to us with both a long wish list and an entirely blank canvas. We were able to utilize every square inch to creatively design this yard into a modern oasis in the heart of the city. 

Although the backyard is a small footprint, many different vignettes await. As you exit the home into the backyard patio, you’re met with a warm cedar privacy screen, adorned with climbing vines. It enhances privacy while contributing to the garden's natural beauty. A few steps beyond, and you are greeted by a steel and cedar arbor that acts as a portal to this homeowner’s new, private retreat. Large, mature, oak trees create a peaceful ambience while cascading dappled shade throughout. These conditions allow for a beautiful combination of textures and rich shades of green. Here we are at the heart of our design. An outdoor kitchen and multi-functional pergola flex space hosts a custom, built in concrete bench, hidden white board, and fully equipped outdoor kitchen. This allows for a seamless transition between a productive work area and a relaxing space to entertain family and friends.. Deeper into the yard, we created a private, spa experience. Nestled underneath a majestic oak tree, a sauna, outdoor shower, and japanese soaking tub invite. These features create a sanctuary of relaxation perfectly crafted to allow full rejuvenation while immersed in nature. Just a few steps outside of the calming spa, we built a custom, cozy fireplace and seating area. Peeking out from behind the board form wall, clumping Bamboo, native Palmetto and a variety of texture provides interest and creates a lush, botanical wonderland. 

Crisp steel lines, timeless pea gravel pathways and mortared buff lueder stone is accented with board form concrete and natural slatted cedar. This backyard space contains a beautiful mix of natural materials to create a cohesive and calming environment, ready to stand the test of time. This project is timeless, efficient, and smart, while utilizing every square inch of the backyard to its fullest potential. This project showcases the harmonious integration of various elements to create a multifunctional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor space.
